Modern Pastry Shop is an award winning, family owned Italian Bakery. Modern Pastry was created by my family, over 70 years ago, on Hanover Street in Boston's North End. The world may have changed since the 1930's, but our original recipes and time honored traditions for creating our confections have not, since our family brought them over from Italy so many years ago. Three generations of innovative master chefs and over 150 years of authentic old world methods and experience, make our product stand out among the best. Our products will always be hand crafted, using the finest ingredients. That is our standard of excellence.

Modern Pastry cakes, cookies, candies, and pastries have been a part of Boston area gatherings for many generations. We enjoy seeing, and hearing customers speak proudly of their experiences, over the years, in our bakery. Together we have celebrated birthdays, graduations, promotions, weddings, christenings, retirements, holidays, and so many, many other special occasions.

We love seeing new faces in our stores as well as returning customers. We love being an old neighborhood gathering place and seeing the customers we grew up with now bringing in their children and grandchildren.
